Platinum for Henkel’s Corporate Report
With a score of 99 out of 100, Henkel’s Corporate Report gained the highest recognition and received a platinum award in the 2009 LACP Vision Awards annual report competition. The jury of international communications experts assessed aspects such as report cover, narrative, report financials, creativity, message clarity and information accessibility, in all of which Henkel received full marks, taking it to 11th place against the best in the world. This represents a further improvement on the 36th place that the company took in the previous year. In the category-based international comparison, Henkel again did very well, taking first place (Platinum) for the fifth time in a row in the Consumer Consumables – Household/Personal category and second (Gold) in the Financials category.
The LACP Vision Award is a renowned distinction in international financial reporting. In all, the LACP scrutinized and assessed more than 4,000 entries from over 25 countries. In the written judgment, the reasons given for Henkel’s exceptional placement included the attractive design and also, in particular, the combination of annual report and sustainability report.
“The entire team responsible for the annual and sustainability reports are delighted at this external recognition of their efforts,” said Wolfgang Zengerling, Head of Corporate Publications. “This award underpins the many positive comments that we have already received with respect to our 2009 Corporate Report. And, of course, it adds to our determination to again produce a first class Report next year.”
