Cannon Falls: A winning workplace
It’s official: Henkel’s Cannon Falls plant has been named one of Minnesota’s “Best Places to Work”— again. 2017 marks the eighth consecutive year Workforce Development of Southeast Minnesota has recognized the plant.
“Everyone is very proud of these awards and the fact that we’ve maintained them for eight years,” said Henkel’s Human Resource Director Jean Larson. Henkel was one of four winners in the “Large” category of companies with over 200 employees. Approximately 250 people work at the plant, which produces thermal adhesives used in electronic products.
Winners from a 10-county region were selected based on survey data such as turnover, training, benefits, safety and employee feedback. Henkel, one of four winners in the “Large” category of companies with over 200 employees, was noted for its community support, profit sharing, employee longevity and record of positive business growth.
Henkel employees take pride in company programs that provide tuition reimbursement, on-site health screenings and community involvement. In addition, rewards and recognition for performance, open communications and work/life balance programs are cited by employees as hallmarks of the local culture.
